Kim Kardashian’s soft spot for inmates who have been unfairly convicted has reached new — very expensive — heights.

The reality star, who last year met with Donald Trump to discuss prison reform and helped grant clemency to first-time drug offender Alice Marie Johnson, has reportedly offered to pay five years rent for an inmate who was denied housing, according to E!.

Matthew Charles, who was initially sentenced to 35 years prison in 1996 for drug trafficking charges, was released on January 3 this year as part of President Trump’s First Step Act; refreshed prison reform laws that essentially allow prisoners to earn earlier releases from jail and reduced sentences.

Charles took to Facebook revealing Kardashian had “heard about my situation” and was “moved” by it.

“Kim did not do this for attention or publicity, but I had to share it, because it’s to (sic) good not to, and my heart is about to burst with happiness, that I wish you to rejoice in this news with me,” Charles wrote.

“THANK YOU KIM KARDISHIAN-WEST and TRACY FOR THE LOVE SHOWN TO ME WHEN I WAS LOCKED UP. AND NOW THAT I’M FREE.. MY HEART IS ENLARGED.”

Kardashian travelled to Washington, D.C. in May where she met with Mr Trump, as well as Ivanka Trump and her husband, senior adviser Jared Kushner, after being inspired by the case of Johnson, who was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole for a first time offence.

The final episode of season 15 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians ended with the 38-year-old business mogul breaking the news to Johnson she was going to be released.

It comes as fans countdown to the new season of KUWTK, which will premiere on April 1 on Foxtel channel E!.

Last season we had the birth of Khloe’s daughter, True Thompson, who entered the world while her father, NBA star Tristan Thompson, was embroiled in a cheating scandal.

The new season is likely to show how Khloe and Tristan navigate parenthood while dealing with the fallout of the very public affair, in which the basketball player was seen cosying up to several woman while his wife was pregnant.

Of course now there’s the whole Jordyn Woods development too.

We also will hopefully see a little more of Kylie’s baby Stormi, who just celebrated her first birthday.

And the baby fever continues with the announcement Kim and Kanye West are expecting their fourth child, via a surrogate.

Kourtney and Scott are still navigating the whole co-parenting thing, plus the family all head off on a luxury Bali vacation.

It’s safe to say we’re in for a very juicy season.
